Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the EasyX browser extension and website handle your data when you sync your X (Twitter) bookmarks and likes.
Last updated: June 4, 2026
What the Extension Does
The EasyX Chrome Extension lets you sync and organize your own X (Twitter) bookmarks and likes into your private EasyX account. It only acts on the account you are already signed in to on x.com, and only when you start a sync.
Browser Permissions and How We Use Them
The extension uses the cookies permission to read your x.com session cookies (ct0, auth_token, twid) so it can authenticate read-only requests to X's own API on your behalf. It uses webRequest and declarativeNetRequest to attach the correct headers and origin to those requests, storage to remember the API endpoints needed for syncing, and access to x.com to fetch your bookmarks and likes. These cookies and tokens are used only inside your browser to talk to X — they are never sent to, uploaded to, or stored on EasyX servers.
Data Sent to EasyX
When you sync, EasyX servers receive only the normalized bookmark and likes records you choose to sync, such as post text, author, and post identifiers. Your X login cookies, session tokens, and authorization headers stay inside your browser and are never transmitted to us.
Data We Store
Synced bookmark and likes records are stored in your private EasyX account so you can search and organize them. We do not store your X login cookies or X request credentials. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Deletion
You can delete synced data from the product dashboard at any time, or request full account-level deletion from support. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored data from your browser.
